Work and Play

Hmmm - decided to go into work in spite of the fact I felt like sh1te, as there was a parents' evening on. I spent the whole day sniffling and stuff, and went out on the break to get some lemsip. Well - thhey were Boots own brand in the end - basically the same thing but less than half the price!

Parents' evening was uneventful, and I began to see why a student struggled with maths.

Me: He scored 53 per cent in the mock exam

Mum: 53?

Me: That's right

Mum: So what's that out of?

Me: It's out of 100 (duhhhhhhh!)

Anyway, that was that done, and in spite of feeling lurgified, I had a ticket to see Imogen Heap at a nearby venue called Scala, so I headed over there. It was bliddy amazing! Very difficult to describe the sound - a bit Tori Amos, a bit Bjork, and lots of slightly Peter Gabriel type bits oas well, plus some gorgeous vocal harmonies. All done by one woman and a laptop or two. Fabulous :o)

No training - and not any for the next few days either - feeling absolutely carp!
