Fantastic Training Week - NOT!
Hmmmmmm!
Well - been a very enjoyable week - went out for a curry on Tuesday with the RW peeps, and then back to M's. A very enjoyable night out, all things considered. The next day I felt knackered, and although there may have been shreds of a lurgy around, it was probably the alkyhol. My planned bike ride went to pot. The after effects of the curry were....um...mildly explosive, and by Thursday my weight was back down to 100.0kgs!
Friday morning it was back up to 101.6kgs! I didn't cycle last night - just managed to fit in a haircut (well - it'll make me a tad more aerodynamic, but otherwise pretty usless for IMDE!!)
So - sod all training for over a week! Must get a lot done. I am struggling to fit in work, seeing M, and training, plus I've got study to do for biology unless I get an unconditional offer from St George's. Life is very busy but very fun. Training requires pushing myself - and at the moment I'm just not doing it. Hmmmm :os
Right - as Meldy pointed out last night, there's 26 weeks to go (slightly over, surely?), bu the last bit of that is the taper, so I really *must* get going. The plan at the mo is to do a 40 mile bike ride either tonight (problem - it'll be dark), tomorrow (problem - will be tired for seeing M), or Sunday. I also want to fit a run in. Sod it - I'll do two laps of the old running route - that's over 20 miles and is all on main roads - but they are unpleasantly busy. Ever felt like you're trying to juggle too much?

Get ya @rse out there
[boots bear up the bum ... misses and gets his ankles]
Sorry bear but that is just not good enough! Come on!
Sort your head out 1st and get some priorities.
FLM is hard enough on it's own and you have also opted for IMDE - have you actually paid/entered for this? Both of these need a HUGE training commitment!
You also need a life (ask M!) and you want this career change.
So 1st thing 1st work out what is important and then work your life around it!
They say execise gives you more energy - so get up early? Can you run to/from M's? Lunchtime runs? Do you get an hour? I run at work so you can too!
You KNOW you can have a FAB time without the beer!
Sorry to be harsh but if you don't train properly then you may end up injured and I would hate to see that
Good comment Will :o)
Indeed - get ya *rse onto gear!
[cowers at being a bitch]
Thanks peeps - I deserved a kick up the arse and I got one. A lot of it is just being organised, which I'm good at when I make the effort.
BTW - M is *not* Meldy!!!
Good Arse kicking coming your way!
Now sort it boy!
"BTW - M is *not* Meldy!!! "

Yeah, training bla bla bla. Actually running/cycling to/from work might be something you have to consider at some point. Or running part way. I know it would then mean using public transport for the other bit of the journey but it's an effective use of time.
And running/cycling to see Not-Meldy :o)
