Bad Day :o(

Woke up early, all prepared to swim, but I felt knackered. Not good at all. I figured anyway that even if I got to the pool for 6:30, that since I was going to make use of the train (drinks after work) that I'd never make it in for 9am. So I switched off the alarm, and went back to sleep.
Only thing is, I messed it up, so I didn't wake up until 7:30, and ended up rushing. The train was awful - crowded, had to fight for a seat again, and had all the usual crappy aggro I'd had for several years but escaped from for the last few years thanks to the scooter. Still - I did get a copy of the Metro, which was one major plus! About the only thing I've missed.

It occurs to me that if you're taking this IM stuff seriously, you might want a good book to help with the training! This one is rather excellent: "The Complete Guide to Endurance Training" by Jon Ackland, published by A&C Black. As you can see, it covers various endurance sports but covers tri and IM, is very sensible and has sample training programmes as well as lots of info on how to build your own programme.
