Big Day Today
Today is a big day - it's when I'm supposed to go and enrol for an A level in biology, and possibly a chemistry AS as well. I say "supposed to" because I'm slightly nervous that they might now not like the idea of me doing the AS and A2 in one year in parallel, in spite of having agreed it, and if they say no then it blows a big hole in my plans! Must confess to being a bit nervous about it myself. I could do a one year A level (at least then everything would be done in sequence, although at double speed), but that would mean going into my old work five days a week for 80 minutes a throw - with the best part of two hours travelling. An option, but not a good one
Saturday was a "hangover day", apart from a trip up to town for a coffee with ChrisMouse, which was great :o) All a bit spontaneous, but I had a good time. Sunday I meant to do a big bike ride, but didn't! Weight was horribly up Saturday - it still seems to fluctuate wildly when I have a drink! Anyway - here's the training.
Sunday
One mile swam!
Monday
Met up with KatyShakes from the RW forums for a run. It was great to have someone to chat to, and at base training pace we seemed to be a really good match. I ballsed up the Garmin and lost two kilometres odd as I didn't start it at one point, but it was just over ten miles. I won't give the HR figures as there's a gap, but most of the run was done below 140, although I didn't bother with walk breaks if there was a hill or similar as I wanted to do a continuous run. It did drift up towards the end, but I think I speeded up.
I would have liked to do Pilates and Body Pump, my usual Monday evening activities, but as it was bank holiday and the gym shut early, I contended myself with an upper body weights session and some abs stuff, followed by a swim (half mile - the pool was crowded).
The weight is still way up!
Tuesday
Big bike ride planned, but not sure as the quads are a bit heavy. However, my weight has dropped to....
89.8kgs
Yay - finally I get below 90kgs, and after a wild upward fluctuattion to four pounds heavier. All rather odd - guess I just have to keep exercising and eating sensibly and wait for my weight to catch up!
